NRL's Former Associate Director "Reactor Rick" Still Supporting Research at Ohio State

Rick Myser was a well-known member of The Ohio State University Nuclear Reactor Laboratory staff for many years. Before his retirement in 2002 nuclear engineering researchers could count on his leadership as the Associate Director to oversee their project and give meaningful feedback.

Now, even in retirement, Myser in contributing to research - but now through “Shake Parkinson’s Now,” an annual event the Mysers founded to raise money for Parkinson’s disease research at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. This year’s event is Sunday, Oct. 27 at the Hayley Gallery. Admission is free and open to the public.

Myser was diagnosed with Parkinson’s six years ago, making him the third generation in his family to be affected with the disease.
